The 5 Greatest Potent Dodge Charger Models Ever Made. Since its introduction in the 1960s, the Dodge Charger has evolved from a speedy two-door coupe to a family-friendly four-door sedan, but it has maintained its muscle-car roots throughout. It remains a power chaser, having debuted the highest-output offshoots in the last decade. Here are the five Chargers with the greatest horsepower.
2022/2023 DODGE CHARGER SRT JAILBREAK
Dodge never gave its full-size performance sedan the 840-hp engine from the Challenger SRT Demon, but the Charger SRT Jailbreak’s Hemi supercharged 6.2-liter V8 is a decent substitute. The SRT Jailbreak has 807 horsepower, making it the most powerful Charger variant Dodge has ever sold from the factory. Jailbreak models not only unleash all of that power, but they also allow for exclusive modifications.
The SRT Jailbreak was introduced as a stand-alone model in 2022. For 2023, the Charger SRT Hellcat Redeye will come standard with the high-output package.
2021-2022 DODGE CHARGER SRT HELLCAT REDEYE
The Charger SRT Hellcat Redeye debuted for the 2021 model year, boasting an 80-hp boost over the current Hellcat. That meant 797 horsepower from a modified Hemi supercharged 6.2-liter V8 with a larger supercharger (2.7 liters against 2.4), stronger internals, and a rev limit of 6,500 rpm (300 more than the normal Hellcat).

2021-2023 DODGE CHARGER SRT HELLCAT
The initial Hellcat, with a whopping 707 horsepower, was only the beginning for the Charger Hellcat. As new big-power special versions were released, you might have missed the fact that a few years into production, Dodge increased the horsepower rating by 10 to 717 ponies.
2015–2020 DODGE CHARGER SRT HELLCAT
The Charger SRT Hellcat, like the Challenger SRT Hellcat, debuted in 2015 with a 707-hp version of Dodge’s Hemi supercharged 6.2-liter V8 engine. At the time, that was enough power to make it the world’s fastest four-door car, with a top speed of 204 mph.
2015-2018 DODGE CHARGER SRT 392 AND 2015-2023 DODGE CHARGER SCAT PACK
The Charger SRT 392 was perhaps best described as a diet Hellcat, with many of its brawnier sibling’s benefits — including adaptive suspension, six-piston Brembo brakes, 275-mm-width tires, standard leather upholstery, and Dodge’s embedded SRT Performance Pages app — but with a 485-hp naturally aspirated 6.4-liter V8 instead of the 707-hp engine.
The R/T Scat Pack, which debuted in 2015 with 485 horsepower, is tied for fifth position on the Charger horsepower ratings with the SRT 392 but costs a little less because several features are optional. Though the R/T has been eliminated from the model’s name, it is still available today and retains many of the original’s characteristics, including the 6.4-liter V8 from the SRT 392 and exterior style cues adopted from the Hellcat, such as an integrated hood scoop.
